Megan Dundas, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Dundas lived in Westchester as a child before moving upstate to a dairy-farming community near the Adirondacks. Veterinary Medicine was her calling, though she received degrees in Anthropology and Biology before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. She practiced at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital in Dutchess County for six years and is excited to be returning to Westchester to serve pets and their people at LVC.

Dr. Dundas is a certified Fear Free practitioner. Fear Free training gives veterinary professionals the tools to alleviate animals’ stress and anxiety during office visits. She is also certified in Animal Hospice and Palliative Care by the American Animal Hospital Association. Her other professional interests include dentistry, ultrasound, and infectious disease.

Dr. Dundas serves on the Hudson Valley Veterinary Medical Society board and the Government Relations Committee of NYSVMS. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the New York State Veterinary Medical Society. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family, which includes a deaf Boxer, a leopard gecko, and two cats.

Kathryn Panigrahi, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Panigrahi is a Westchester County native who received her degree in Biology from SUNY Purchase before attending veterinary school at Ross University. After completing her clinical training at The Ohio State University, she graduated magna cum laude and remained at OSU to pursue an internship in equine medicine and surgery. She returned to New York in 2020 to continue a career in small animal general practice and equine emergency medicine.

Dr. Panigrahi’s approach to patient care can be best described as a “spectrum of care.” She recognizes that each patient is unique, and their medical journey should be tailored to their specific requirements. By collaborating closely with pet owners and integrating their insights into the treatment plan, she ensures a comprehensive and effective approach to healing. She believes that a balanced approach to medicine, combining the latest advancements in veterinary science with a deep understanding of an animal’s individual needs, is key to optimal health outcomes. With her open communication style and compassion, she seeks to establish lifelong bonds with her clients and their beloved pets.

Her professional interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography, and nutrition.

Pictured with her is Pip, the senior dog she rescued in March of 2023. She and Pip also share their home with Bea, the retired racing greyhound, and Harley, a Jack Russell Terrier, on her family’s farm in Dutchess County.

In her spare time, Dr. Kate is an avid reader, Renaissance fair attendee, and volunteer with a local greyhound rescue organization.

Client Service Representative

A longtime Somers resident, you will usually find Kathy at our front desk. Our clients and patients love her friendly smile and her compassionate nature. Kathy has raised her four daughters between Somers and Texas. She has three energetic dogs and is a true animal lover.

Bonnie, LVT

Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician

Bonnie joined the team at Lincolndale Veterinary Center in 2021. She has been a licensed veterinary technician in the state of New York since 2019 and has been working with animals in agricultural, zoological, and veterinary settings for more than 15 years. In her free time, Bonnie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, hiking in the Hudson Valley, and drawing.

Adam

Veterinary Technician

Adam joined the team at Lincolndale Veterinary Center in 2023. Before joining the team, Adam worked in the emergency hospital setting, where he developed a love of surgery and honed his ability to stay calm in stressful situations. Adam leads a vegan lifestyle and is passionate about providing every patient with the highest level of care. Adam can be found on the disc golf courses or in various other sports in his free time. He also loves to travel, cook, and spend time with family, friends, and his beloved cat Henry.

Joey

Veterinary Assistant

Joey joined the LVC team in October of 2022. He has experience working in a veterinary emergency clinic and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician training program. In his free time, Joey likes doing projects around the house, playing basketball and spending time with his two dogs and two cats. Joey is exceptionally compassionate with all of our patients and goes out of his way to make sure that our patients have a positive experience while visiting us.

JENN

Veterinary Assistant

Jenn is extremely passionate about making every visit enjoyable for our furry friends and their families. She is always excited to learn more about them and their stories. Jenn is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Program and is looking forward to becoming a veterinary technician. She worked as a veterinary assistant in a fast-paced hospital prior to joining the LVC team. She has four pets. Bear, her dog, and three cats, Luna, Ginny, and Ronny. In her free time, Jenn enjoys finding outdoor adventures with her boyfriend and their 4 fur babies.

SHAINE

Veterinary Assistant

Shaine is a Somers HS grad and has 10 years of experience working with animals large and small. She hopes to have a farm one day, and in the meantime spends her free time teaching horseback riding lessons and caring for horses at the barn. Shaine hates cold weather, loves country music, and motivates us all with her can-do attitude. She has a very sweet dog named Millie.

Diego

Veterinary Assistant

Diego is a Somers HS grad and joined the LVC team in June 2021. You may see him at LVC lending a hand during his breaks from school. He is currently entering his senior year at Binghamton University, where he majors in Biological Science. He has been working toward meeting the requirements for veterinary school (and knocking it out of the park!) and is applying for admission to veterinary schools this year. Diego has a Pomeranian, a recently adopted puppy, and a cat. He loves to spend time with his family, work out, and play soccer.
